How to Book

Call John Leask & Son direct or contact your nearest ABTA travel agent to make the booking for you. Alternatively, post the completed booking form and non-refundable deposit of £100.00 per person, to the operator.

Flybe and NorthLink Ferries are not the tour operators for any of the holidays in this brochure.

Your Flights

While we will endeavour to get you the best possible price for your air travel, please note that the package rate quoted may no longer be available for late bookings. Please note that flight times may be subject to slight alteration and that a change of aircraft may be required on certain routes.

Change of Return Flights

It is not normally possible to change your return flight arrangements once you are in the islands. This is due to airline regulations over which we have no control. Should a passenger wish to curtail or extend his or her stay, this is usually possible only by contacting the local Flybe office, paying an amendment charge or even having to purchase a new ticket depending on availability. In the event of a passenger having to return earlier, or later, for medical reasons, the procedure is the same except in the case of insured passengers, when they may claim most of the money paid out from the insurance company.

Your Accommodation

All bedrooms have private facilities, colour television and beverage making facilities with the exception of Burrastow and Buness where there are no televisions in the rooms. You will be expected to check out by noon irrespective of the time of your return flight.

Car Hire

Conditions of the car hire company apply in all cases and you must present a clean driving licence on arrival. Cars arrive with a full tank of petrol and must be returned in the same condition. Drivers must be over 21 and under 75 years of age. There is a non-waivable excess of up to £250 on all vehicles. Special arrangements involving the use of a client’s own motor insurance policy can be arranged in some instances for those outwith this age range. Advance notice is required in these circumstances.

Photo ID

You must be in posession of photographic ID at check-in for travel by both Flybe and Northlink Ferries.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is not included in the basic cost, but it is recommended that you obtain insurance cover for cancellation due to illness, weather delays etc.

Your Documents

We will normally send all your travel documents, luggage labels and itineraries to either yourself or your travel agents, some two or three weeks before your departure. PLEASE READ THEM CAREFULLY. In some cases, the flight timings may have changed from those on your holiday invoice, and the correct flight time will appear on the tickets themselves.

Accommodation has been inspected and rated by VisitScotland. The number of stars earned (between 1 & 5) is a reflection of quality, not simply the range of facilities.

Data Protection

Please be assured that we have measures in place to protect the personal booking information held by us. This information will be passed on to the principal and to the relevant suppliers of your travel arrangements. The information may also be provided to public authorities such as customs or immigration if required by them, or as required by law. Certain information may also be passed on to security or credit checking companies.

If you travel outside the European Economic Area, controls on data protection may not be as strong as the legal requirements in this country. We will only pass your information on to persons responsible for your travel arrangements. This applies to any sensitive information that you give to us such as details of any disabilities, or dietary/religious requirements. (If we cannot pass this information to the relevant suppliers, whether in the EEA or not, we will be unable to provide your booking. In making this booking, you consent to this information being passed on to the relevant persons.) Full details of our data protection policy are available upon request.
